Monty (Slim Shady), a 5-lbs Chihuahua  was rescued from Kern County and is now living happily in Long Beach, CA with another OCPH Alumi, Banjo, renamed Chico.

Heidi, aka Fletch, a 4.5-lbs Tri-Coloured Chiweenie  was rescued from the San Bernardino City Shelter and now hangs out happily in Placentia with two other little fur-sisters.

Mitzi, a DSH Tabby, was found with a badly injured leg where she had been shot with a shotgun.  The leg had to be removed but her Owner did not want an indoor-only kitty so she was placed in rescue to find her new furever home.  She now lives happily as an indoor-only kitty in Anaheim Hills, CA

ZaZa, a 2 Year Papillion Mix  was rescued from the Long Beach Shelter

Johnny Walker, a pure breed Long Haired Chihuahua and trained Service Dog, was placed after his Owner passed away unexpectedly.  He is now enjoying retirement in San Diego, CA

IZZY, an Australian Labradoodle was in training as a Mobility Service Dog before his Owner unexpectedly died.  He was placed in a loving home in Redlands, CA by OCPoundhounds, yet his Breeder, Beaumonde Labradoodles, immediately offered to take him back, being a responsible Breeder, who cares about his dogs. Jake, a Shih Tzu X Chi was rescued from the Delano Shelter and now lives happily in ALiso Viejo, CA

Remington, a year old, Maltese X Terrier Mix was rescued from the Baldwin Park Shelter


Dolche, a 2-yr Italian Greyhound Mix was rescued from the Kern County Shelter and was adopted by a wonderful couple who have given her a film-star life in Silverado, CA


Ari, a pure-breed Maltese, was surrendered to our rescue after his Owners abandoned him at their veterinary clinic.  He was successfully placed with a retired couple with whom he travels between their homes in Palm Springs and Orange County.


Roman, a Boston Terrier Mix was rescued from the Delano Shelter with a broken back, from which he fully recovered. He now is spoilt rotten in Lake Elsinore, CA

Daisy was surrendered to our rescue after her Owner requested her euthanized due to her having potty accidents in the house.  This issue was resolved with training and she was successfully re-homed.


Reba, a 4.8-lbs Chiweenie was rescued from Kern County with a severe secondary skin infection caused by demodex mange.  She was successfully treated and went to live with another OCPH, Lucy Mae.


Presley, a 3.5-lbs Chihuahua  was rescued from Kern County and is now living in San Diego, CA with two beautiful fur-sisters

Josie, a Wheaton Mix, was rescued from the Baldwin Park Shelter and is now living happily in Huntington Beach, CA

Wally, a 5-year old Chocolate Chi-Weenie, was rescued from the North Central Shelter with horrible periodontal disease.  We gave him a dental, of which he lost 38 of his adult teeth an only retained his four canines.  He is now living happily in Oregon.

Maggie May, a Border Terrier mix who was rescued from the Long Beach shelter has now been renamed Lucy, and is living it large in Laguna Beach, CA


Latte, a 6-lbs Italian Greyhound X Pom Mix, now known as Sonic, was rescued from the Kern County shelter and is now living happily in Huntington Beach with two Cattle dogs siblings.

Micky was rescued from the Long Beach Shelter by his Foster-Mum Cynthia on his last day.  His tremendous physical difficulties were through insurmountable by the Shelter but Cyn saw something special in Micky’s eyes.  Through campaigning Micky’s story by e-mail, telephone calls and an in-person visit, Micky was inducted in to the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah under their Guardian Angels programme.  You can see his progress, and video’s, on their Guardian Angels site….http://www.bestfriends.org/guardianangel/index.cfm?csid=4726&csii=4728&csit=Set


Dixie, a Maltese Mix had been abandoned in a foreclosed home and was eventually found and turned in to Animal Control in Baldwin Park.  She is now living very happily in San Diego, CA.  Her Pet Parents are generous Donators to our little rescue!  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts


Gracie, a 5-year old Long-Haired Chihuahua was rescued from the South Central LA shelter where she ended up as an Owner Surrender.  She was in poor health and had obviously not lived a pampered life.  She is now living a wonderful, relaxing lifestyle and has her very own Veterinarian, who is also her Daddy!


Georgio, a timid Chihuahua was rescued from the Delano shelter

Milano, a pure breed Italian Greyhound, was surrendered to our rescue organization and is now a Certified Service Dog for his Owner.


Lucy Mae, a Boston Terrier Mix was rescued from the Delano shelter along with her brother, Roman.


Ellie Mae, a Yorkie Mix was rescued from the Baldwin Park shelter, and is now constant companion for a very active but retired Lady in Orange, CA.


Boots, a six week old puppy when rescued from the Delano Shelter, is now called Tucker and living happily in Newport Beach.

Dora, Boots Mama, ended up at the Delano shelter where she gave birth to two little puppies, one which perished due to the cold nights, before the family could be rescued.  She is now living safely in Murietta, CA


Sophie, a year old Schnauzer X was rescued from the Downey Shelter


Sachi, a Papillion Mix was surrendered to our Veterinary Clinic after she had been found wandering in Long Beach, CA.


Mitzi, a Yorkie Mix, now renamed Raven, was rescued from the South LA Shelter where she ended up after being hit by a car.  She was on cage rest for nine weeks and healed successfully and was adopted by her Foster-Mum, who had another OCPH member that she adopted in 2006.


CeCe, a pure breed Australian Cattle Dog (ACD) was surrendered to our rescue after he Owners were cited by Animal Control for not taking care of her adequately.

Winslow, a 3 1/2 month old pure breed Toy Xoloitzcuintli (Mexican Hairless), was surrendered by his Owners and ended up in the Downey Shelter.  He was suffering with an ulcerated eye, a secondary skin infection and kennel cough.  After recovering he was turned over to Xoloitzcuintli Rescue and even showcased at the Long Beach AKC Invitational as part of “Meet The Breed”.

LOLA is a pure breed Abyssinian that was surrendered to our rescue. She was placed with a new doting Pet Guardian and now lives in Redlands, CA
