How Your Donation Is Used

Want to help but cannot foster a dog at this time?  We have some other options that can help you assist our rescue.  Our rescue organization runs very lean on administrative costs.  Our biggest and major expenses are related to veterinary care, foster care, microchip registration, shelter “pull” fees and gas for transporting.  A small monetary donation to our rescue goes further than you think.

How Your Donation Is Applied:

$50 – $140 pays for a dog’s shelter fees (Yes, we have to pay for a dog even if they are on the euthanasia list);

$58 pays for a Distemper/Parvo (DPv) titer from Hemopet.org;

$98 pays for a Rabies titer through Hemopet.org;

$150 pays for a non-complicated spay and $100 pays for a non-complicated neuter for a small-breed dog;

$50 pays for a cat neuter and $75 pays for a cat spay (for community sponsor/ferals);

$150 pays for a dental and $300 covers a dog an average of 3 months during its stay in our rescue.

ONE-TIME or MONTHLY DONATION:

We have a number of people who have generously set up a standing monthly donation through PayPal.  This is so helpful to us and we welcome anyone who wishes to donate on a monthly, quarterly semi-annual or annual basis.  Your gift donations are tax-deductible, but most importantly they save a life and set them on the road to a new beginning..

SPONSORING An OCPoundhound or One Last Good Home Resident

Sponsoring one of our dogs can make a unique gift or memorial for family and friends. Your donation will be used for shelter fees, veterinary care and quality food for one of our rescue or Sanctuary/Hospice dogs of your choice.

OC PoundHounds Small Breed Rescue is an all volunteer-run, foster home based rescue group is  Orange County-based and specializes in rescuing small breed dogs, primarily Pomeranian, Papillon, Chihuahua or  CC Powderpuff / Xolo (hairless) breeds, placed on the euthanasia lists in the local LA and Inland Empire high-kill shelters, or out of commercial breeding operations.

We have been a licensed California and IRS recognized 501(c)3 approved Non-Profit rescue organization since 2008 and are proudly listed on GuideStar.org.

We have been in dog rescue in Southern California since 2005, and overall since 1991, with our funds being derived 100% from the adoption donation fees we ask for an OCPoundHound and generous donations from our supporters.  The funds we receive are directed 100% back in to continuing our rescue work and the related veterinary care needed by the dogs we rescue, to allow us to continue our mission.

Please make your donation as a “gift” / “Friends & Family” via our PayPal account to avoid service fees, that are deducted out of your donation.
